02What data we process and why

We only ask for what we need to look after you. These are the cases in which we process personal data:

Catering requests

What dataName, email, phone, type of event, date, venue, guests and anything you tell us in your message.
WhyTo reply to you and prepare a quote.
Legal basisTaking pre-contractual steps at your request (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
How long1 year if no booking follows; if it does, as long as accounting and tax obligations require.

WhatsApp, email and phone

What dataName, number or email and the content of your message.
WhyTo answer questions, sign you up for workshops and events, and reserve T-shirts from the shop.
Legal basisYour consent when you write to us and, if you reserve something, the pre-contractual or contractual relationship (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b)).
How longFor as long as we handle your request and up to 1 year afterwards.

Table reservations

What dataName, phone, email, day, time, number of people and any notes you leave us.
WhyTo manage your reservation through Tableo and let you know of any changes.
Legal basisCarrying out the reservation you request (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
How long[12 months] from the reservation date.

Visitor statistics

What dataPages viewed, country, device type and where you came from. No cookies and without storing your full IP address.
WhyTo learn which content is of interest and improve the website.
Legal basisOur legitimate interest in improving the service (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). The data is aggregated and does not identify you.
How long[24 months], always in aggregated form.

Allergies and intolerances. If you tell us about an allergy when booking or ordering catering, we use it only to prepare your food safely. By telling us, you give us your explicit consent to do so (GDPR art. 9(2)(a)), and we delete it once the service is over.

03Who we share your data with

We never sell or pass on your data to anyone, unless legally required. To keep the website and reservations running we work with these providers, who process data only on our instructions:

IONOSWebsite and admin panel hosting. Servers in the European Union.
TableoTable reservation system.
Google (Gmail)Email. May involve transfers to the US covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
WhatsApp (Meta)Messaging. May involve transfers to the US covered by the same framework.

05Children under 14

If you are under 14, we need consent from your parent or guardian to process your data. If we find out that we have received data from a minor without that consent, we will delete it.

06Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), the admin panel is password-protected and only the El Michi team has access to your data.

07Changes to this policy

If we change anything important, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
