My Vegan Day: how our charity cooking workshop went
On 22 November we swapped the counter for the farm: a vegan cooking workshop on planning a full day of meals, with all proceeds going to charity.
“My Vegan Day” was born from a question we often hear at the café: how do I plan a whole day of eating only plants without getting bored or spending hours in the kitchen? To answer it, Sole y Maru from the El Michi team put together a hands-on workshop.
The details
- Date: Saturday 22 November 2025, from 10:00 to 13:00.
- Venue: Finca Los Zamoranos, Tegueste.
- Hosted by: Soledad and Mariana (Sole y Maru), from the El Michi team.
- Format: 100% charity.
What we cooked
The goal was to plan a vegan day with versatile, wholesome and surprising recipes: dishes you can prepare ahead, mix and match, and adapt to whatever’s in your fridge, like wraps, bowls with marinated tofu and well-seasoned plant proteins.

A workshop with a cause
All proceeds went to Santuario PETRICOR, which cares for rescued animals. For us it’s the most consistent way to close the circle: learning to cook without animal ingredients while helping those who protect animals.
Eating plant-based can also be an act of care for others.
